An event is hardly ever run by one person: somebody curates the list, somebody writes the invitations, and somebody stands at the door on the night with a tablet. In Eventleash everyone gets their own login and sees only what they need.
It all lives under Users, in the account section. The administrator role is required.
The three roles
| Role | Sees | Does not see |
|---|---|---|
| Administrator | Everything: contacts, events, campaigns, landing pages, plus settings, domains, users and billing | — |
| User | Contacts, events, campaigns, landing pages, templates, check-in | The account section: settings, domains, users, billing |
| Host | Events and check-in only | Contacts, campaigns, landing pages, templates, notifications, the whole account section |
The distinction that matters in practice is between User and Host. A User is a colleague working on events. A Host is the staff on the night: they open the event, let people in, and can neither see the address book nor send anything.
Inviting somebody
- Under Users, click Invite user.
- Enter their email, first name and surname.
- Pick a role.
- Confirm: they get an invitation email with a link to set a password.
First name and surname are not decoration: they appear in the invitation email and fill the invited person's profile until they change it. An invitation from "a colleague" with no name gets ignored far more often.
Whoever accepts does not sign up or enter a card: they land straight in your account. The subscription belongs to the account, not to individuals — but the number of members counts against your plan's limits.
Invitation status
Each row in the list shows its state:
- Pending — the invitation went out but has not been accepted. The button next to it sends it again, useful when it landed in spam.
- Active — the person is in and working.
Changing a role or removing somebody
The role is changed from the dropdown on the row and takes effect immediately, even if the person is logged in at that moment.
Removing a user detaches them from the account: it does not delete their Eventleash login — they may belong to other accounts — and it touches nothing they created. Events, campaigns and contacts stay where they are.
Several accounts: agencies
An agency working for different brands can keep them in separate accounts. Each has its own address book, domains and subscription, and data never crosses over: one client's contact never appears in another's address book.
Somebody who belongs to several accounts switches between them from the menu at the top right, with the same login. The role can differ in each: administrator in their own, plain user in a client's.
If you need a second account, write to us rather than signing up again with another email: that way they stay attached to the same login.
Plan limits
| Plan | Team members |
|---|---|
| Starter | 1 |
| Professional | 5 |
| Agency | Unlimited |
If an invitation is refused because the limit is reached, your options are in Plans, quotas and billing.
